Two little gumnuts, ringed in red,
a skirt of stamens, thin as thread.
Full of grace, and beauty too;
nature’s splendour, in full view.

Wattle, wattle, everywhere.
I’m working on a children’s book at the moment which is in rhyme. And now it seems that’s the way my brain is working–rollicking along in rhythm and rhyme.
Wattle, wattle, everywhere,
arching here and swaying there.
Yellow flowers so bold and bright,
in early morning golden light.

First spring blossom.
First spring blossom–so delicate, and so delightful.
First gumnuts. You blooming beauty.
These were the first gumnuts, and remain the only ones to date, which have appeared on the eucalyptus silver princess given to me by my mother not long before the end of her earthly journey, 20 months ago. It’s now in first bloom. And two little gumnuts are yet to pop their tops.
Hello world!
Michele Muses, begins.
