Native Orchid Blooming

It’s Grand Final morning. The native orchid is blooming. Which team will bloom today?

Rain droplets have fallen on the delicate blossom petals. After a light shower, the sky is cloudless blue and the sun peeks through nearby tall trees, onto the top of the blossom.

Bursting into bloom

Spring is such a vibrant time, when even some of the smallest bushes in the garden, like this one from the pea family, burst into bloom; the yellow and red flowers cascading all along the leafy green branches. And the little buds at the end of the branch are a reminder that there’s more to come.
